Dainty Discovery: Bibim Men

A great alternative to packaged ramen, these instant noodles can be prepared in 4-5 minutes. Once they have cooked in boiled water, one must rinse the noodles until cold and mix them with a spicy Korean paste.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PASTE IS EXTREMELY SPICY.

The first time I made the noodles, I could barely eat them. What I learned (thanks to a friend of mine) was that if ½ to ¾ of the package of the paste was used, the heat became enjoyable and sweet with a slight kick.

You can purchase a package at your local ethnic supermarket ex: Super H-Mart or Buford Highway Farmers Market.

Consumer Hint:

I recommend adding a teaspoon of sesame oil and some sesame seeds for a nice texture and taste. Don’t be afraid to come up with your own additions and send them to us!
