Just Wingin' It

Jamal’s Buffalo Wings

10 Northside Drive Northwest
Atlanta, GA 30314-4765

Red Bull might give you wings, but I guarantee you the man caged in a parking lot shack in downtown Atlanta gives you better ones. Jamal’s Buffalo Wings is a tiny, to say the least, wing joint literally on the border of a parking lot. Size doesn’t always matter, however. Jamal and his employee dish out some of the best wings in Atlanta. Everything is served “to go” passing through what appear to be the prison bars that separate the single employee from the anxious consumers.

What makes Jamal a king of the wings? First, there is no funny business. You cannot get boneless and you cannot get white meat. Nothing fancy, just wings, and that’s how we like it. The wings are lightly spiced and battered, deep fried, and then tossed in one of the delicious sauces. The wings are crispy yet saucy, a difficult combo to get right.

Our favorite flavor is barbeque, with lemon pepper coming in a close second. All of the flavors do the shack justice, a nice surprise for saucy little boys such as us. Everything is served with refreshing celery and blue cheese or ranch. If you want a wing filled win for a meal, hit up Jamal’s humble establishment where you can join everyone else eating a parking lot feast atop the hood of their cars. The wings are slightly cheaper than most other restaurants, at $7.50 for 10 wings. The more wings you buy, the cheaper they get.

Consumer Hint: if you have a local student ID, you get a 10% discount.

4 Dudes ordered 50 wings: 25 lemon pepper and 25 barbeque. We got those and a bundle of celery with ranch, all for slightly under $7 a person. That is most certainly an FSFW!

No chickens escaped the wrath of the Dudes of Food!

Just heard that a Filipino restaurant opened on Buford highway - maybe the Dudes are interested?
