FSFW (Full Stomach Full Wallet) Find- Carniceria Tres Hermanos

Carniceria Tres Hermanos

6342 Roswell Rd NE
Atlanta, GA 30328

One of our greatest discoveries, to some a hidden gem, lies in the back of a local Mexican butcher/supermarket. Past the fresh vegetables, the Pokemon piñatas and the stone cookware is a small kitchen. Don’t be fooled by its size, the small seating area is always packed. English is rarely spoken so come ready to communicate in Spanish or with your index finger.

This Mexican “restaurant” makes everything ”old style,” and we have tried it all. Most items are good, but the tacos are superb. I have been around Atlanta and eaten at the taco trucks and restaurants famous with foodies and bloggers. The tacos from Carniceria Tres Hermanos are what I consider to be the best in Atlanta. You can’t go wrong with any filling, including my favorites: tongue, chicken, beef, cheek meat, and chorizo. They are packed with a pile of meat which works in perfect tandem with the raw onion and cilantro topping. Each taco is a mere $1.50 plus tax. Three or four tacos can tame even the fiercest of appetites whereas one or two will suffice for the weak.

Each morning and afternoon, fresh salsa and salsa verde is crafted.

Consumer Hint: Don’t be fooled; the green salsa is spicier than the red. Add 3-5 squirts of the red salsa and just 1-2 of the Salsa Verde for the perfect combination of flavor and heat.

What to get

Tacos- every unique meat filled tortilla is a palate pleaser.
